Brandy
Brandy Robinson has been in the beauty industry for over 25 years and a salon owner for 9. Her experience have included participating in various hair shows, and adding her talents to numerous professional hair magazines and books. She specializes in Custom cuts and styles, but she enjoys every aspect to hairstyling including weaving, natural and thermal styling. Her clientele travels from miles around to receive a loving, educated and positive experience. She believes in healthy, beautiful hair, in and out of the salon. Her passion and devotion to her field has enabled her to foresee an amazing future for Straight or Knot Beauty Salon.

Elizabeth Lizzy
Elizabeth or "Lizzie" is a licensed technician born and raised in northern California. For the past 15 years she has been working hard to educate people on natural hair care and styles. Although she is very passionate about natural hair, she is versatile and trained to do many styles out of that spectrum. Braiding and weaves are just the beginning. She loves being a hair technician because she wants to help people feel good about themselves.
Gabbrielle Gabby
Gabbrielle "Gabby" is a young stylist with a passion for knowledge of hair care, and a creative edge for personalizing each style to fit the clients personality. She has been around the beauty business for many years (licensed for 10). Gabby prides herself on customer satisfaction and making sure each and every client feels special and important when walking in and out of straight or Knot Salon.
Destinee Robinson
Destinee is a Licensed Esthetician in the State of California. Since childhood, she has been passionate about skincare and beauty. She loves to make other people feel good in their own skin and give tips on how to make one reach their full potential. She specializes in facials, waxing, makeup, and more. We are located in the beautiful downtown district of Fairfield which is conveniently located between the bay area and Sacramento CA. Our clients travel from miles around to experience professional services with the comforts of home. Clientele are welcomed to stop by for a cup of coffee, participate in one of our themed Fridays events, or simply relax and be pampered. We have mastered the art of making our new and returning clients fill at ease with the process that can sometimes be a stressful one. Please do not bring valuables with you; we are not responsible for lost or stolen items. Please respect the right to an enjoyable atmosphere for all guests. We ask that you refrain from using profanity, use inside voices when on cell phones and wear headphones/earbuds when listening to music, gaming or watching private entertainment. Thank you.
About Appointments
“NO SHOWS” will be charged 100% of the reserved service amount.
Less than 24 hour notice will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.
Appointments made within the 24 hour period with the need to cancel, must cancel within 4 hours of scheduled appointment, or it will result in a charge equal to 50% of the reserved service amount.Our Policies
Straight or Knot Salon Cancellation Policy
Your appointments are very important to the Straight or Knot team members. Your appointments are reserved especially for you. We understand that sometimes schedule adjustments are necessary, therefore, we respectfully request at least 24 hours notice for cancellations. (48 for longer services).
STRICT AND ENFORCED CANCELLATION POLICIES
Please understand that when you forget or cancel your appointment without giving enough notice, we miss the opportunity to fill that appointment time, and clients on our waiting list miss the opportunity to receive services. Our appointments are confirmed 48 hours in advance because we know how easy it is to forget an appointment you booked months ago.
The cancellation policy allows us the time to inform our standby guests of any availability, as well as keeping our Straight or knot team members scheduled filled, thus better serving everyone. Straight or knot salon policies are presented and provided in the best quality and tradition of excellent servicing for our established and future clientele. Thank you for viewing and supporting our policy standards.
Children
Unattended children will be given espresso and 6 free kittens! No, but seriously, we understand life happens. Which is why our children policy isn’t strictly “Do not bring them”, like some establishments, but due to safety restrictions, liabilities and limited space, we prefer that you acknowledge your circumstance. We cannot allow toddlers (or teens for that matter), to be a distraction for your stylist or other customers. If you must bring them, please prepare properly for their stay. Snacks, quiet toy, book, homework etc, iPad or phone (with accompanied headset to not disturb others). Although we wish for you a stress-free, moment of relaxation, we also understand emergencies. But, please respect the salon as a business environment. Thank you.

Diet
I’m sure you’ve heard “You are what you eat”. This is a very true statement. An overall balanced diet is very necessary for hair and scalp health. Along with drinking plenty of water, getting the proper nutrients will affect our hair quality. If we are not getting enough natural vitamins and minerals through our diet, we should be sure to take supplements. Here are a few for hair health. Iron, vitamin C, vitamin A, Omega-3, and vitamin E and biotin. Talk to a Dr. if you feel you may not be reaching your full hair potential.

We know for some, the thought of a trim is a terrifying thing. And we get it. Many of us have been traumatized by the experience. But, the truth is, it is very necessary for healthy hair. There are many causes of split ends but only way to truly repair your ends...and that’s a trim. Despite some opinions, no amount of product or ignoring methods can mend them. The best way to minimize the amount taken, is to stay on top of your trims!
Satin pillow cases
or Satin lined bonnetsCotton pillow cases, scarves and head coverings absorb the moisture from your hair and skin. Our aim is to maintain a proper amount of moisture. This helps in preventing breakage and excessive dryness. We want to be sure to protect our heads at all times. The smoothness of Satin cuts down on friction and tangles. Wearing that bonnet will save your hair-do, equating to saving money.
Protection
Our hair needs to be protected just as our skin does. We wear sunscreen to protect our skin from the sun. Don’t we? (If not, we should) So just the same, we should think about our hair. It is probably the most over-exposed thing next to our skin. We should be sure to properly condition, use a leave-in when we can and last not but not least COVER UP! If we are going to be in the sun for an extended amount of time, we need to grab that satin scarf or satin lined hat for added protection and love for our tresses!
